Barn/Pasture Bio: Blossom is one of the leader in the barn and every night she will come in and wait patiently for her feed. She loves her Purina Impact 12-6 and gets a scoop in the am and pm with coastal hay. In the morning she always greets me at the gate so I can rub her sweet face and soft nose. She stands for the farrier but needs a patient handler, who can win her trust and once you have she will give you her whole heart. She is currently pastured with two cows, a donkey, and several horses of which she gets along well with. She is good with the colt in the pasture and “plays mom” with him and corrects any of his unnecessary behavior. She will do best in a home that has a routine and someone who is home enough to give her the attention she deserves to be the best girl she can be. She is very smart and picks up fast.
Training Bio: Blossom is not currently rideable but is very trainable. She could be a companion to another horse or would need an experienced rider/trainer to follow through with her training. At one point she did have thirty days of training and accepted a rider, saddle, and lunged. She didn’t like the rear cinch though. She took the bit as well but her former home did not have the time to continue her training. She is very smart and a good horse to train, built like a brick house, and is very beautiful. She has lovely movement and was smooth as well. She needs someone who has the time who can continue and reinforce any training done on a consistent basis.
